Indosatnet Mobile is an alternative to access dial-up internet through mobile Fren – mobile 8 network. Indosatnet Mobile is available for Postpaid or Prepaid Fren cards.

About Fren from Mobile 8
Fren is fixed wireless service using CDMA technology. It is operated by PT Mobile 8 Telecom. There are 2 types of Fren card, based on the payment method:

• Postpaid
  To acquire this account, you should register first in Galeri Indosat. The demand for payment will be sent at the end of the month.
• Prepaid
  The voucher fund can be bought and recharged upon usage.

About IM2 Internet Account
Postpaid and prepaid IM2 internet accounts are offered to the internet users to get connected to the internet. Indosatnet Mobile is an additional feature for IM2 customers to enable internet connection through Fren network and enrich the other media access:

• Access using area number
• Access using Hotspot IM2
• Access Indosatnet Instant through I-Phone Indosat network
• Access Indosatnet through StarOne

• Mobile Internet can be used everywhere.
• Mobile Internet does not need any activation time from both Fren and IM2. As long as you have the IM2 internet account and a PC with CDMA modem, you can directly use this service. Activation time will only take place when registering postpaid IM2 internet account and postpaid Fren card
• Fast access speed up to 153 Kbps
• Mobile Internet applies Time Based Charging. It is different with the common GSM or CDMA internet services which are applying Volume Based Charging. This will ease you to assess how much money you will spend for using this service.
• Internet usage fee will be charged directly to the internet IM2 account. Thus it will not reduce your Fren voucher fund. For using this service, you will need to comprise:

• Username and password IM2 internet account. Username and password IM2 can be acquired through dial up registration (click to register) or IM2 prepaid card (click for info)
• Prepaid or postpaid Fren card
• PC / Notebook / PDA
• Mobile phone which has CDMA / PCMCIA / USB Modem / Data card feature.
